was admitted to this dispensary on the 13th August, 1926, with pain and swelling in the hepatic region, of about one year's duration. His history was typical of hepatic abscess. The condition had commenced in September 1925, and he first consulted a kaviraj. In November 1925 He attended this dispensary and had a course of emetine injections with much benefit, but discontinued treatment too soon. There was no history of dysentery or of venereal
